The Marin DSX is everything you want from a modern, flat-bar gravel bike. Zippy aluminum frames, compliant forks, heaps of tire clearance, low standover, dropper post compatibility and a whole load of options for bags and fenders. Taking inspiration from the Gestalt X drop bar line, Marin made the DSX to feel like an MTB but still cut it on all of those adventures that would normally demand curly bars.
The Marin DSX FS model features a butted and formed Series 3 6061 aluminum frame with internal routing, 142x12mm thru-axles, flat mount disc brakes and rack and fender eyelets. Further breaking the gravel bikes mold, it’s decked out with a 60mm travel SR/Suntour GVX LOR front fork for hard-charging, off-road adventures. There’s also a 1 x 12 speed Shimano SLX/Deore drivetrain, fast rolling Vee Tire Co 44mm Rocket Man tires with room for 29x2.1” knobbies and Shimano hydraulic brakes with the latest flat mount disc brake standard for smooth, controlled stopping in all conditions with minimal maintenance. Rounding off the build is plenty of reliable Marin components and mounting points for bikepacking accessories. Is it a gravel bike? Is it a mountain bike? We’ve got no idea - we just know that it’s a whole mountain of fun.
